Blackberry Sauce

Easy Homemade Blackberry Sauce is the delicious over pancakes or ice cream! It's like eating blackberry pie for breakfast! Makes 16 servings.

Ingredients:
  • ​5 cups fresh blackberries
  • ​3/4 cup sugar
  • ​1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ​1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:

1. Crush berries then combine with 1 cup water and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil.

2. Combine cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water. Mix well and stir into blackberry mixture. Cook 1 minute over medium high heat to thicken sauce, stirring constantly.

3. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.
